Linda O’Rourke, MSW, CAE has announced her retirement from the College effective June 30, 2011. As Vice-President of the College’s Professional Standards and Leadership Development portfolio, Linda has been instrumental in leading and renewing the College’s professional designation (CHE and Fellowship) and leadership development programs over the last 7 years. Her ability to develop partnerships, utilize her broad professional network and engage members in the work of the College has been truly outstanding.
Linda has had a very successful career, working as a senior leader with a variety of non-profit health care associations at both the provincial and national levels. She has been a very active member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE), serving as Past President of the CSAE Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter and in 2008 receiving the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. Linda holds a BA in Psychology and Criminology from Carleton University as well as a BSW and an MSW from the University of Calgary with a specialization in Social Policy and Administration.
The College will be formally recognizing Linda for her contributions at the College’s AGM in June. We thank Linda for her commitment to the College and wish her a healthy and enjoyable retirement.

Linda a connu beaucoup de succès dans sa carrière. Elle a travaillé à titre de cadre supérieur dans diverses associations de soins de santé sans but lucratif à l’échelle provinciale et nationale. Elle a été une membre très active de la Société canadienne des directeurs d’association (SCDA). Elle a été présidente sortante de la Section Ottawa-Gatineau de la SCDA et, en 2008, a obtenu le titre de caé. Linda a un baccalauréat en psychologie et en criminologie de l’Université Carleton ainsi qu’un baccalauréat et une maîtrise en travail social, avec spécialisation en politique sociale et en administration, de l'Université de Calgary.
Le Collège rendra officiellement hommage à Linda pour sa contribution lors de son Assemblée générale annuelle en juin. Nous remercions Linda pour son engagement à l’égard du Collège et nous lui souhaitons de vivre une retraite agréable en pleine santé.
