The first Fellowships in the College were conferred on June 9th at the Fellowship Convocation held in conjunction with the G. Harvey Agnew Address. Both events were supported by Medicus Canada.
The Fellowship Program of the College was designed to identify and recognize exemplars in the field of Canadian health services. These individuals must have compiled a career record of significant breadth, encompassing contributions of such magnitude and originality as to be invited by a committee of peers to participate in the College’s Fellowship Program. Once admitted to the program, each candidate completes a project, which is designed to distill the wisdom and experience amassed by the candidate into forms that can be shared with others in the field.

The Salutatorian for the first Fellows was Dough Snedden, FCCHSE who shared with the audience his views of the meaning of the Fellowship Program for himself, the College and the field of health service administration in Canada.

Les premiers fellows du Collège ont reçu leur titre le 9 juin lors d’une collation des grades ayant suivi l’allocution G. Harvey Agnew. Medicus Canada commanditait ces deux événements.
Le Programme de fellowship du Collège vise à relever et à reconnaître des modèles exemplaires dans le secteur canadien des services de santé. Ces personnes doivent avoir constitué un curriculum vitae d’une ampleur impressionnante, comportant des apports d’une envergure et d’une originalité telles qu’ils inciteront un comité de pairs à les inviter à participer au Programme de fellowship du Collège. Une fois admis au Programme, chaque candidat présente un travail dont le but est de communiquer la sagesse et l’expérience qu’il a accumulées sous une forme qui permet de les partager avec ses confrères.
