The Conference Board of Canada, 2012 Scholar-in-Residence Lecture / Le Conference Board du Canada, Conférence des chercheurs invités de 2012

The Conference Board of Canada has named André Picard, Public Health Reporter for the Globe and Mail, as the 2012 Scholar-in-residence Research Chair.

André will be presenting the results of his in-depth research into Canada’s Health Care System on May 23rd, 2012, in Ottawa. This presentation, entitled The Path to Health Care Reform: Policy and Politics, will be followed by a discussion on the topic, featuring three distinguished panelists.

Since September 2005, the CIBC Scholar-in-Residence Research Program has funded scholars to carry out research on issues of national importance.  The 10 year program actively engages renowned scholars in The Conference Board of Canada’s advanced research programs, where they will conduct research on issues of national importance that will contribute to improving Canada’s future.

Each Research Chair is an academic who is at home in a policy and research environment and who possesses an outstanding record of research on public policy, economic, or organizational performance issues of national importance to Canadians.
