The College would like to congratulate member Pamela Winsor, CHE on recently receiving the 25th Anniversary Alumni Impact Award from Saint Mary’s University (Halifax).

According to Saint Mary’s University (2017), “As a way of extending her impact as an EMBA ambassador, and thanking the Sobey School of Business for giving her a competitive edge, Ms. Winsor established The Dwyer-Winsor Family Scholarship in 2015. Congratulations to the companies and organizations recognized as Canada's Best Employers 2017.

According to the Forbes web site (February 2017):

In collaboration with online statistics provider Statista, FORBES asked 8,000 Canadian employees – 81% full-timers – working for large firms or institutions to rate their willingness to recommend their own companies on a scale of 1 to 10. The employees who took part in the survey were consulted not via their employers but anonymously through several online access panels.

Congratulations to the companies and organizations recognized as Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2017.

According to the Canada’s Top 100 web site (November 2016):

Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using eight criteria, which have remained consistent since the project’s inception: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.

2017 corporate membership renewal / Renouvellement d'adhésion corporative 2017

On October 3rd, 2016, the College will embark on its’ 2017 corporate membership renewal campaign.

Corporate members will be able to renew their corporate membership on line and will also be asked to update the general description of their corporation and update the list of organization supplemental members. This will allow the College to have the most up to date information on all its’ corporate members.

Partners will spread elder-friendly care practices to Canadian hospitals

Ottawa, Canada – November 24, 2015 – The Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI), in partnership with Technology Evaluation in the Elderly Network (TVN), today announced a new initiative to improve healthcare for older Canadians. The Acute Care for Elders (ACE) collaborative will support healthcare delivery organizations as they adapt and implement elder-friendly models of care and practices that are improving patient care and generating impressive savings at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
