At its 46th Annual General Meeting held in Vancouver, BC, June 11, 2017, the Canadian College of Health Leaders proudly recognized 122 members who received the Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation and two members who received the Fellowship designation.

CCHL announces 2017 National Awards recipients / Le CCLS annonce les lauréats des prix nationaux de 2017

The Canadian College of Health Leaders and the sponsors of the National Awards Program are proud to honour the individuals, teams and organizations that are making a difference across the healthcare system. This year’s recipients are indeed the pride of our profession.

Award recipients were honoured on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the Honouring Health Leadership event, in Vancouver, BC. The 3M Health Care Quality Team Awards and the Robert Wood Johnson Awards were presented during the National Health Leadership Conference on June 12 & 13, 2017.

Chapter Advisory Council meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia / Réunion du Conseil consultatif, section régionale à Vancouver, en Colombie-Britannique

The Chapter Advisory Council (CAC) held its annual face-to-face meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 9, 2017. Chapter chairs and representatives met to discuss future initiatives such as the national membership campaign, metrics to track chapter success and tools to support chapter growth. The group shared best practices, challenges, successes and gathered to discuss ideas for collaboration across the country.

A joint retreat was also organized with the Board of Directors, CAC and the national office staff to collaborate and determine initiatives for the upcoming year to move the strategic plan forward and support the national membership campaign.

Great news to those who may have missed the nomination deadline.  We have extended the submission deadline for many of our awards, and are still accepting nominations for many others. Please refer to the table below for more details. 

We recognize how busy our members are with work priorities. However, we ask you to consider nominating a worthy initiative, individual or team for a College awards. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase the talent, leadership and innovative practices within your organization, chapter or region.

In June 2017, the College, with the support of our award sponsors, will bestow 15 prestigious national healthcare awards in Vancouver, BC. These awards are presented to individuals, teams and organizations in the healthcare community that have demonstrated exceptional leadership, and who have made significant contributions in areas such as: mentorship; innovation; nursing; healthcare safety; quality; environmental stewardship; diversity; and mental health and addictions.
