The College would like to congratulate Cathy Szabo, CHE on her recent appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Care.

According to the Canadian Healthcare Technology news release (April 2014):

Cathy Szabo, the new president and CEO of Providence Care, says the construction of the organization’s new hospital will also mark the start of a more comprehensive way of delivering healthcare in Kingston.
Szabo said the delivery of healthcare is evolving and Providence Care has to keep up with the changes. “How I delivered care when I started at the bedside when I was a nurse at St. Mike’s a few years ago is different from how nursing is now,” she said.

“Health care will continue to change and we can’t always take a look at how things are run now and say that’s how it’s going to be in the future.”

Le Collège souhaite féliciter Cathy Szabo, CHE qui vient d’être nommée présidente-directrice générale de Providence Care.

Selon le communiqué de presse dans la revue Canadian Healthcare Technology (avril 2014) :

Cathy Szabo, la nouvelle présidente-directrice générale de Providence Care, annonce que la construction du nouvel hôpital de l’organisation marquera aussi le début d’une façon plus complète de fournir des soins de santé à Kingston.

Mme Szabo affirme que la prestation des soins de santé évolue et que Providence Care doit suivre le rythme de cette évolution. « Les soins infirmiers ne sont plus comme ils l’étaient quand j’ai commencé à administrer des soins au chevet des patients en tant qu’infirmière à l’hôpital St. Michael’s il y a quelques années », a-t-elle indiqué.

« Les soins de santé vont continuer de changer et nous ne pouvons pas toujours regarder comment les choses se font maintenant et dire que c’est comme ça que ça va se passer à l’avenir. »
