Recognizing our members anniversaries: 2014 / Des anniversaires qui méritent d'être soulignés : 2014

(Le texte français suit.)

In our last member Communiqué, the College profiled members that renewed their membership with the College by December 31, 2015 that reached a milestone anniversary. Unfortunately, we were unable to recognize members reaching a milestone anniversary by end of December 2014 as the College was undergoing the implementation of the new member database system. Therefore, we would like to take the opportunity to recognize and congratulate those members at this time as well.

On behalf of the College Board of Directors, chapters and national office staff, it is our pleasure to recognize and extend our special appreciation to College members who renewed their 2014 membership and celebrated a milestone anniversary with the College at that time. We invite you to join us in congratulating these valued members.

Cancellation of 2016 Healthcare Study Tour to Italy

(Ce programme n’est pas disponible en français.)

Dear Colleagues,

I regret to inform you that the College has not received sufficient interest to offer the 2016 Italy Study Tour and therefore has decided to cancel the tour.

As a College we have been offering international study tours for over 15 years and these tours have been great opportunities to learn from other countries, exchange knowledge, develop professionally, build relationships and network. We have visited Sweden, Norway, the UK, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Italy. The quality of learning, networking and knowledge exchange was highly valued by those who participated in these tours. Many of the insights gained have been shared broadly in a variety of events, published articles and presentations and we have also been involved in tours to Canada from colleagues from other countries that we visited on our trips.

Authors answer this question by discussing the practice and scientific contributions they make to the global health agenda, how they have contributed to health policy design in Canada, and how nursing intellectual capital creates value in healthcare organizations. Authors also offer examples of how leadership can be used to promote change.
