Can mentoring boost your career? / Est-ce que le mentorat peut vous faire avancer dans votre carrière?

 (Le texte français suit.)

We all know anecdotally that being a mentor has its rewards. Mentors often report satisfaction from helping their mentees connect the dots between their abilities and their potential. Mentors relish the opportunity to pay it forward and report feeling fulfilled by the experience. But are their more tangible benefits, beyond the emotional gains? Ottawa, ON – The Canadian College of Health Leaders (the College) and HealthCareCAN join other members of Canada’s Health Action Lobby (HEAL) to remind federal leaders that Canadians want government to make the challenges facing our healthcare system a priority. Public opinion research consistently reveals that Canadians care deeply about finding the sustainable and cost-effective options that will enhance our national health. And healthy Canadians make for a healthy and competitive economy. Yet, to date, policy debates associated with the 2015 federal election have rarely focused on healthcare.
