Ethics Self-Assessment Tool / Outil d’autoévaluation de l’éthique
(Le texte français suit.)
The College’s Code of Ethics under the preamble section indicates that members are expected to conduct an annual self-assessment and attest compliance to the Code. However, the College has not had a formal tool members can use to complete the self-assessment.
To address this gap we are pleased to share a new Ethics Self-Assessment Tool developed by the College’s Ethics Council and recently approved by the College Board of Directors. The tool is aligned with the College’s Code of Ethics and was developed with consideration of assessment tools being utilized by the American College of Healthcare Executives and the US Department of Veterans Affairs National Centre for Ethics in Health Care. Consultation with the College chapters, College members interested in ethics, and experts in the field took place to validate the tool.
