(Le texte français suit.)

Building professional capacity is the most effective way to ensure that Canadian health leaders change their own organizations and, ultimately, the health system. Mentorship is one way that the College supports its members to continue life-long learning and skill development.

The College's mentorship program is offered at no cost to all College members, at every stage of their career. Individuals with different levels of experience and varied areas of expertise can become involved in mentoring relationships.

Facilitating emergent change in a healthcare setting
Peter M. Dickens

During my doctoral research, I identified new ways of thinking about complexity in organizations. This involved embracing the capacity of complex systems to find their own form of order and coherence, often referred to as self-organization, and then asking the question, “What can organizational leaders do to create the systems and structures that would facilitate emergent change?”
